THE TURKEY TROT
Ready for the Turkey Trot? Kiawah Island is hosting their annual fun run/walk on the beach on Thanksgiving morning! Get your workout before the turkey eating and football watching. The race offers a one-mile walk or a one to three mile run on the beach for families, beginners or competitive runners. More information.
THANKSGIVING DINNER AND BUFFETS
Thanksgiving Feast at The Sanctuary Hotel from 11am – 4pm. Join The Sanctuary Hotel in the Grand Oaks Ballroom from 11am to 4pm for a lavish buffet presentation on Thanksgiving Day! There will be numerous culinary stations throughout the ballroom including seafood displays, live chef stations, holiday meats, and other traditional favorites. More information.
Children’s Thanksgiving Buffet at The Sanctuary Hotel from 11am – 4pm. Your children can enjoy a buffet of their own in the adjacent Heron Room while you enjoy the grand buffet in the ballroom. There will be games, live animals, arts and crafts, as well as delicious and fun food! More information.
Jasmine Porch Thanksgiving Buffet. Breakfast from 6:30am to 10:15am. Grand Buffet from 12pm to 9pm. Celebrate the holiday with a buffet featuring traditional favorites and live music. This will be a dinner to remember in a warm yet elegant atmosphere, as you toast loved ones with a complimentary glass of champagne and ring in the holiday season. More information.
The Ocean Room from 4:30pm – 10pm. The Sanctuary’s signature restaurant is proud to present a Thanksgiving experience made for the true food connoisseur. The Ocean Room will be featuring their seasonal steakhouse menu in addition to holiday favorites. Children’s menu available. For a more non-traditional option, our Sushi Lounge will be available for small plates and libations. More information.
Thanksgiving Buffet at The Atlantic Room from 12pm – 6pm. Chef Banta has created dishes that capture the spirit of the season with his Thanksgiving buffet menu. Savor the flavors of the season while taking in the dramatic views of the Atlantic Ocean. For reservations, please call (843) 266-4085.
FALL FESTIVAL AT NIGHT HERON PARK
Thanksgiving Day. Thursday, November 27 from 5:30pm to 8pm. Join the Fall Festival with entertainment at Night Heron Park this Thanksgiving! A bluegrass band will be pick’n away so stomp your feet then head on out to the park for a kick’n good time!
KIAWAH’S TREE LIGHTING CEREMONY
Friday, November 28 – starts at 5pm. Be there as The Sanctuary is transformed into a magical, holiday mansion. Their holiday staff will be busy assembling the Grand Lobby Christmas tree, as well as decorating the mantels and grand staircases.
MINGO POINT THANKSGIVING OYSTER ROAST
Friday, November 28 from 5pm – 9pm. Celebrate the holidays and enjoy an authentic Lowcountry experience at Mingo Point for the last oyster roast and BBQ of 2014! Enjoy oyster shucking, Southern BBQ Buffet with specialties highlighting holiday favorites, live entertainment from from The Island Trio, a craft market including artwork and jewelry from local artisans and a Kids “Cool Zone” featuring a child-friendly buffet, design your own tote and hair braiding!
